There's nothing I love better than walking our property each day as the plants begin to emerge from their Winter sleep.
I visit each garden to see what new has begun to show themself. As of now, Mullein, Cleaver's, Lamb's Ear, Mint, Lemon Balm, Dandelion, Wild Violets and Clover, Oregano, Evening Primrose, Comfrey, Sage, Lavendar, Dandelions, Chives, and a few more have begun to spring up.
When I think of Spring, I think of renewal, a fresh start, and an opportunity to grow. When we see what Nature is providing us in plants that surround us to create better health .. we open the door for that renewal, fresh start, and the opportunity for growth.
What better way to propel forward in life than to do it alongside Mother Nature?!
Let's look at some of the plants in early Spring that assist the body and promotes better health so that we may give of ourselves the gifts we have to share. Keep in mind, when we eat according to what seasonally is available to us, we are in sync with Nature, herself. By utilizing what she offers, we can experience greater health.
Cleavers: This plant provides a key to open the doors of our lymphatic system to allow what has built up through the Winter months to easily exit.
Wild Violets and Clover: These also assists our lymphatic system and help condition our body for detoxing and eliminating excess.
Purple Dead Nettle: Immune support, targeting our digestive tract.
Nettle: This plant not only supports better liver function but also conditions and tone our kidneys.

Herbs that are coming up are meant to be eaten fresh in order to assist the breakdown of food. Cooking with herbs or adding to greens, not only support better overall function in the digestive tract but also ignites our senses!
Everyday a new plant emerges to provide not only me but also my family the support our bodies need. How do we have such a diverse number of plants in our yard?
