My Story

Hi! I'm Stefanie, owner and product creator of Blue Waters Apothecary. I've spent my life focused on creating better health and well-being for my family, friends, and myself. Over the years, I've come to find nature and our body was always designed to work together, rather than apart.

When I think about skincare, I feel overwhelmed and also shy, frustrated, and defeated.

WHY?

I've spent my entire life living with both types of eczema. The one where what I eat and how much stress I am under determines if my skin looks pretty and smooth or red, scaled, and seeping. The other type of eczema is where whenever my skin is touching something, for example, dishwater or sweating skin... I break out in a rash. I spent most of my childhood in sleeves and feeling uncomfortable in shorts because the rash was mostly on the inside of my elbows and knees. I used so many steroidal creams that my skin wouldn't tan in those areas. The doctors told my mom that those areas would turn into very thin skin as I age.

Living has been challenging in the area where beauty and confidence are concerned.

The startup of Blue Waters Apothecary is a result of my skin challenges. I knew there had to be products out there designed for MY skin, but I also didn't want to pay steep prices. So... I created my own. I use every one of my products, almost on a daily basis. Some, multiple times a day. I wanted to provide others safe, clean skincare with minimal ingredients that their skin is compatible with and understand how hard it is to smell a product and want to use it but cannot because of the ingredients. That it would cause inflammation and pain, instead of soft, smell good skin.

This is my commitment my customers- I will provide SIMPLE, clean skincare to you and your family so that you can have the best skin possible. I will work to make your dream a reality of having beautiful containers sitting on your countertop and kitchen sink shelf because I want the same.
