Use this balm for:

Grass-fed and finished Tallow

》 One tsp is equivalent to roughly 250mg of magnesium.

How to use- Start with 1/2 tsp per day and work up to 1 tsp per day. Best used on bottoms of feet, torso, arms, and legs. Apply as needed. Do not apply on open wounds, cuts, scratches, or rashes. * Always do a patch test.

**Can take up to 30 minutes to fully be absorbed.

Warning: many people who are new to using topical magnesium may experience an itching/tingling sensation. The following article explains why:

"Reasons Why Magnesium Oil Stings: There is a very strong link between low levels of magnesium in the body and the stinging caused by magnesium oil. In most cases, people who experience this burning sensation during or after applying magnesium valm believe that their skin is sensitive to magnesium oil. However, this is not always true. The reasons why magnesium oil can cause skin tingling can be any or the combination of the following:

Severe deficiency:
Magnesium oil causing itchiness can be the sign of low levels of the mineral in your body. Therefore, the more severe the deficiency is, the more severe the sensation. Itchiness is often a side effect when magnesium deficient skin is first introduced to Magnesium Oil. This "urgency reaction" causes the blood vessels to open quickly, creating friction under the skin. This sensation and other side effects should subside when the product is used consistently, and the body no longer has the "urgency reaction".

Too much magnesium at once:
Slapping a ton of magnesium oil on your skin can be tempting if you are deficient, however, it is not always the best idea. Suddenly ramping up the amount of magnesium oil you apply may contribute to the stinging sensation. Gradually your body gets used to the topical magnesium oil, especially if you are a first-time user.

Vasodilatation:
Magnesium oil acts as the vasodilator that relaxes muscle cells and increases blood flow in capillaries. This may also cause a stinging sensation.

Salt residue:
Technically speaking, magnesium oil is Magnesium Chloride Brine, i.e. salt water. Once the oil has been absorbed into the skin, it may leave behind a slight residue, which can trigger itchiness for individuals with sensitive skin."

 Tallow is close to our own natural skin oil, the lipids and fats present share similar qualities to our own skin oils, making it less likely to cause breakouts, clogged pores, and irritation. The oleic acid found in tallow is known to be a powerful ingredient in combating dry skin. This amazing fat provides an abundance of rich, beneficial vitamins and essential fatty acids that are non-comedogenic and easily absorbed into your skin for optimal hydration, providing longer relief than “store bought” moisturizers. Blended with castor oil, a naturally nourishing oil, this natural balm provides a powerhouse blend of dense vitamins A, B12, D, E, and K all which help to lock in moisture while being mild enough for all skin types.

Please note that this is an all-natural product and can vary slightly from batch to batch in scent and consistency. All beneficial properties remain the same in every jar of every batch.

Important: During warm seasons, we highly suggest that all tallow products are delivered to an address where items will NOT sit in the heat for long periods of time as consistency can change.

Blue Waters Apothecary is not responsible for your package after it is shipped. All claims must be filed directly through USPS with the tracking info you are given if you need to locate/file for a lost or stolen package.

All shipped orders receive a tracking number once an order is filled. An invoice, along with the product, ordered are in the box.
